Nerd Alert: The Hobbit
There. I'm glad I got that off my plate. Actually, this shouldn't come to a surprise to most of you. I've been re-reading LOTR every year since I was in 4th grade...yeah, I was a really cool elementary schooler. One of my fondest memories of my dad from growing up is him reading The Hobbit to me every night before bed.
Once Peter Jackson started gracing us with his movie magic every Christmas, I spent considerable effort dragging all my girlfriends to the theatre and suffering through their myriad of questions ("Why are the ghosts green? Who is that guy again? What is the difference between and orc and an Uruk-Hai"). This year will be no different! You will find me at my local theatre tomorrow night...and probably several more times before the new year getting my Hobbit fix.
