Brie Nutella Puffs
- Favorite round of brie
- Puff Pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for the egg wash)
- Parchment paper
ONE: Preheat your oven to 400. Slice your brie round into about 14-20 wedges depending on how many people you're serving. I had 3 ladies over and we. devoured. all. of. them.
TWO: Cut your puff pastry into rectangles a little bit larger then the brie wedges and lay them out on a baking pan. Be sure to line the pan with parchment paper. I made the mistake of not doing so and had an unfortunate time cleaning said pan afterwards.
THREE: Brush each pastry rectangle with a little egg wash and pre-bake for about 2 minutes until they start to puff up at the edges.
FOUR: Take the pastry out of the oven and place a brie wedge on top of each one.
FIVE: Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese has gone all gooey and the pastry is has risen/browned a bit. (Bev called for 20-25 minutes of baking, but mine were done WAY before that. A lot of this depends on your oven, so be sure to watch these babies carefully as they bake. Nothing is worse than burnt cheese!)
SIX: Take the gooey deliciousness out and drizzle with slightly warmed Nutella.
SEVEN: Shovel these into your mouth as fast as possible before anyone else can have any….at least that's what I was tempted to do.
There you go! Short, sweet, decadent, and delicious. Happy baking!
